Three persons were arrested for kidnapping a B.Tech student and attempting to murder him near Kadapa Airport on Monday, August 10.
The student, Pranav Kumar, overheard the accused discussing black magic and the kidnap of a minor girl from Shettur mandal in Anantapur district.
The accused allegedly dragged Pranav Kumar into their Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and tried to slit his throat with a knife; locals rushed to the spot after hearing his cries.
Police found that a minor girl kidnapped from Shettur mandal had been brought to Vallur on Sunday, August 9, and had escaped.
The accused were identified as Kanipakam Vijay Kumar, Bala Hemanath, and Balasubrahmanyam; police seized the car and a knife from them.
