ABVP Wins Unopposed in Peravoor ITI Polls
The ABVP has won all seats in the Peravoor Government ITI college elections unopposed.
The students chose ABVP because they were unhappy with other groups, like the SFI, who they said were not student-friendly.
Some people from the SFI and CPM came to the college and tried to scare the students and teachers, but the students still chose ABVP.
This college is in a place where there has been a lot of political violence.
In 2018, an ABVP worker named Shyama Prasad was killed by some people from the SDPI.
The police caught four people for this crime.
The ABVP says this win shows that the students are brave and want to make their own choices without being scared.
ABVP candidates were elected unopposed to all seats in Peravoor Government ITI college elections.
Students chose ABVP due to the anti-student stance of other organizations, including the SFI.
SFI–CPM members allegedly threatened students and teachers, but the students proceeded with their decision.
The Peravoor–Kannavam region has a history of political violence, including the 2018 murder of ABVP worker Shyama Prasad by SDPI activists.
Four SDPI activists were arrested for the murder of Shyama Prasad, who was hacked to death while seeking refuge in a nearby house.
