Mirzapur: The Movie Brings Familiar Characters to Big Screens
Mirzapur: The Movie is based on a very popular television series.
It brings back many characters that fans already know.
Kaleen Bhaiya still controls the criminal world of Mirzapur.
Guddu, Babloo and Munna become involved in new conflicts and business deals.
A new character named Babban Babua adds another dangerous enemy.
Some scenes move between Mirzapur and Jaisalmer.
The movie has funny lines, strong acting and familiar music.
However, the review says it is less violent and less intense than the series, and that parts of the long film feel stretched.
The film revisits the characters and criminal-political world of the hit Mirzapur streaming series.
Pankaj Tripathi returns as Kaleen Bhaiya, while Divyenndu reprises Munna and Ali Fazal plays Guddu.
The story centers on a purported drug deal, Guddu and Babloo’s rise, and Munna’s resentment toward the Pandit brothers.
Ravi Kishan’s Babban Babua and other new characters expand the action from Mirzapur to Jaisalmer.
The review praises the performances, dialogue, humor and music but criticizes the reduced intensity, limited roles for women, long runtime and continuity errors.
