Asim Munir Reviews Pakistan’s Defence Production Expansion Amid India Tensions

Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, visited a large weapons factory.

The factory is called the Pakistan Ordnance Factory and is in Wah.

He looked at how military equipment, arms and ammunition are made there.

He also saw tests of weapons designed and produced in Pakistan.

Officials told him about plans to improve the factory and make more items locally.

Two new plants are expected to start producing goods by the end of the year.

Pakistan wants to rely more on its own defence manufacturing and increase exports.

The visit happened while tensions between Pakistan and India were high, and one report described the effort as costing $5 billion.
