DUSU 2026 Counting Begins Amid ABVP-NSUI Contest, Court Ban
Delhi University students voted to choose their student union leaders.

Counting for the 2026 Delhi University Students’ Union election began at 8am on September 19, with four central posts contested by 20 candidates.
Polling on September 18 recorded a 40.46 per cent turnout, the highest in three years, compared with 39.5 per cent last year.
ABVP nominated Yash Dabas for president and Ishu Maurya for vice-president, while NSUI nominated Vijay Shankar Meena and Veer Chatrath.
ABVP claimed victories in key college posts, including all four central positions at five colleges, before the DUSU results were announced.
The Delhi High Court prohibited victory processions on roads, inside colleges and in hostels after the results.
