DUSU 2026 Counting Begins Amid ABVP-NSUI Contest, Court Ban

Delhi University students voted to choose their student union leaders.

The votes began being counted on September 19.

Twenty candidates are competing for four main positions.

ABVP’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates are Yash Dabas and Ishu Maurya.

NSUI’s candidates for those posts are Vijay Shankar Meena and Veer Chatrath.

About 40.46 per cent of eligible voters cast ballots, which was the highest turnout in three years.

ABVP said it had already won several college-level positions.

The Delhi High Court said students cannot hold victory marches after the results.

Only 52 of Delhi University’s 91 colleges and faculties directly take part in the election.
