Karnataka Minister Rejects CM Change Rumors, Backs Siddaramaiah Until 2028
A minister in Karnataka, B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan, has said that the current leader, Siddaramaiah, will continue as chief minister until 2028.
He also mentioned that another important leader, D K Shivakumar, wants to become chief minister and that his supporters agree.
The minister explained that after Siddaramaiah finishes his full term, Shivakumar would then take over.
This statement aims to stop rumors about a leadership change happening very soon, in November.
The minister believes these rumors are being spread by the opposing BJP party to cause trouble.
He emphasized that both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar have a good working relationship and that all decisions about leadership will be made by the Congress party's main leaders, but he personally hopes Siddaramaiah stays until 2028.
