Assam Partners with TATA-NELCO for Skill Education in Schools
Imagine schools are like big cities and smaller towns.
The 'Hub' schools are like the big cities, with special training centers, experts, and equipment.
The 'Spoke' schools are the smaller towns that connect to the cities to share in the training.
TATA-NELCO and Assam's government are working together, with TATA-NELCO providing most of the money.
Students in grades 9-12 will learn skills like AI, robotics, and 3D printing.
The goal is to help kids get jobs in the future.
The first phase includes a few Hub and Spoke schools, and the second will expand this training to many more schools across Assam.
TATA-NELCO and Assam are partnering to launch a 'Hub and Spoke' skill education model.
The project follows an MoU signed in February.
The Hub model has a central institution providing vocational resources and trainers.
The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy 2020.
Courses will cover fields like AI, robotics, and 3D printing for students in Classes IX-XII.
