Bangladeshi Hindu Activist Exposes Islamist Atrocities at UNHCR
A man named Dipan Mitra, who fights for the rights of Hindus in Bangladesh, spoke at a United Nations meeting.
He told everyone about the bad things happening to Hindus in his country.
Since the Prime Minister left in August 2024, many Hindus have been hurt, killed, or forced to leave their homes.
Their temples and businesses have been destroyed.
Women have been hurt and forced to change their religion.
Many Hindu teachers and police officers have lost their jobs.
Dipan Mitra said the government is not protecting Hindus and is letting these bad things happen.
He asked the world to help stop these atrocities and protect the Hindus in Bangladesh.
Over 1,000 atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh were exposed by Dipan Mitra at the UNHCR Forum on Minority Issues.
Since August 2024, 183 Hindus have been killed, 219 women raped, and 78 girls forcibly converted to Islam.
Hindu homes, businesses, and temples have been attacked, vandalized, and set on fire, with incidents occurring daily.
Hindu officials, teachers, and police officers have been systematically dismissed from their jobs, and recruitment of Hindus in key positions has been halted.
The situation has worsened under the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus, with rising extremism and militancy targeting minority communities.
