Minister Misal Seeks Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Action for Navi Mumbai

Madhuri Misal held a meeting about problems affecting people and infrastructure in Navi Mumbai.

She asked officials to create a plan for helping families displaced by the Morbe Dam project.

The plan could give some affected people jobs directly, similar to an earlier Barvi Dam approach.

She also discussed 323 sanitation workers who maintain 14 railway stations.

Officials were asked to explore moving these workers into Central Railway service.

Another plan was requested for people whose quarry and crusher plots were affected by the airport project.

At Nerul Railway Station, officials were told to address poor sanitation, illegal activities, encroachments, and safety concerns.

The meeting also covered roads, traffic, parking, security walls, and station beautification.

Forest Minister Ganesh Naik attended and offered suggestions.
