Delhi High Court Clears Roadside Barber of Contributory Negligence

A roadside barber was hit by a truck.

The case was considered by the Delhi High Court.

The court decided that the barber was not partly responsible for the accident.

This kind of partial responsibility is called contributory negligence.

The court said the truck caused the accident by driving onto or crashing into the footpath.

It explained that footpaths are meant to be safe places for people walking.

Vehicles are not supposed to drive on them.

The court therefore did not blame the barber for the crash.
