Nashik Orders POSH Compliance by August 15
The Nashik District Collector has ordered all government, semi-government, private offices, institutions, companies, and establishments to form an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act and register it on the SHE Portal by August 15.
This is to make sure that women have a safe and respectful place to work.
The Collector also warned that places that don't follow these rules will face legal action.
Additionally, he asked for a survey of widowed, divorced, and abandoned women to help them get government benefits.
Police were told to patrol more around women's hostels and schools to keep them safe.
The Collector also wants to stop child marriages and make sure adoptions are done legally.
