Hawaii’s Holei Sea Arch Collapses After Centuries of Erosion

The Holei Sea Arch was a rock formation in Hawaii.

It formed in old lava rock.

Over time, water wore away parts of the rock.

The arch also had cracks and weaker spots.

The ocean slowly wore down one of its supporting pillars.

In 2014, the U.S. Geological Survey said the arch would eventually disappear.

Now, the arch has collapsed.

The articles do not say exactly when it happened.
