AP CM Clarifies No Privatisation of Sub-Registrar Offices
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, held a meeting to talk about new registration centers called Registration Service Kendras (RSKs).
These centers are being set up to make registration services faster and easier for people, similar to how Passport Seva Kendras work for passports.
The Chief Minister said there are no plans to privatise Sub-Registrar Offices and asked officials to explain this to the public.
He also talked about helping document writers find other jobs and ensuring that subsidies for the Deepam-2.0 scheme are given on time.
Additionally, he discussed the problem of people filing too many petitions without good reasons and the need to address the low rainfall due to El Niño.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of listening to public feedback and planning ahead to solve problems before they become big issues.
Registration Service Kendras (RSKs) are being established to provide faster and more citizen-friendly registration services, not to privatise Sub-Registrar Offices.
The government is committed to improving registration services and ensuring that document writers have alternative livelihood opportunities.
Subsidies under the Deepam-2.0 scheme will be credited to beneficiaries in a systematic manner on predetermined dates.
81 habitual litigant petitioners have been identified, each filing an average of 246 petitions, and officials have been directed to share their details with District Collectors.
The State has received 49% deficient rainfall due to El Niño, and officials have been instructed to identify alternative strategies to mitigate the situation and encourage the cultivation of drought-resistant dry crops.
