Thousands Protest in Pune Supporting CJP and Sonam Wangchuk
On July 20, thousands of people gathered in Pune to show their support for Sonam Wangchuk, who is on a hunger strike, and the Cockroach Janta Party, which is marching to the Parliament in New Delhi.
The protesters wanted the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, to step down because of problems with the NEET-UG exam and the CBSE On-Screen Marking system, which have affected many students.
Unlike in other cities where protests turned violent, the Pune protest was peaceful.
The crowd grew so large that the police had to block the roads, but there were no incidents reported.
