DP World Launches Rail Services Linking Gujarat and West Bengal
Imagine a company called DP World that helps move goods around India.
They've just started two new train routes!
These trains will travel between Gujarat, a place with lots of factories, and Kolkata, a city that's like a door to the east and northeast of India.
The trains will carry things like food, chemicals, and steel.
One route takes 8 days, and the other takes 7 days.
This helps move things faster and makes it easier for businesses to get their products where they need to go.
DP World is also investing lots of money to improve these train services.
DP World launched two new domestic rail services connecting Gujarat and West Bengal.
The Bhimasar–Kolkata service will run twice a month with an 8-day transit time.
The Hazira–Kolkata service will run twice a month with a 7-day transit time.
The services will carry goods like edible oils, chemicals, and steel.
DP World is investing $207 million in rail freight solutions in India.
