Punjab Congress Protests, Demands CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s Resignation

Congress workers held a protest in Ferozepur, Punjab.

They wanted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign and be arrested.

Protest leader Amarinder Singh Raja Warring accused the Election Commission of deleting voters from electoral lists.

He said this had affected many voters across India and in Punjab.

These claims were made by Warring and were not independently established in the reports.

He also accused the Election Commission of helping the BJP and RSS.

The protesters burned effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gyanesh Kumar.

Warring further criticized Punjab’s Aam Aadmi Party government and other political leaders.

He said they were encouraging the criminalization of politics and gangster culture.
