Sisodia Questions Uttar Pradesh Voter Increase, CEO Rejects Claim

Manish Sisodia questioned how Uttar Pradesh’s voter list grew.

He said about 71 lakh forms were submitted, but the number of voters went up by nearly 84 lakh.

He asked how the difference of about 13 lakh happened.

The state’s Chief Electoral Officer’s office disagreed with claims that mysterious voters were added.

It said about 16.18 lakh Form 6 applications were collected.

These applications came from eligible people whose names were not on the roll as of October 27, 2025.

The office said filing an application did not automatically add someone to the voter list.

Each application had to be checked and approved.
