Tom Cruise’s Digger Projected to Lose $250 Million

Digger is a movie starring Tom Cruise about an oil magnate whose drilling causes a worldwide disaster.

The movie did not attract as many people to theaters as its makers had hoped.

It earned $8 million in the United States and $21 million around the world when it opened.

Insiders cited by TheWrap expect it to earn no more than $40 million worldwide in theaters.

The movie cost between $163 million and $173 million to make, and its marketing cost about $100 million.

Because Warner Bros.

paid for the whole film, the studio is expected to carry the loss.

The reported loss is about $250 million after other revenue is counted.

Cruise is expected to work on Days of Thunder 2 next, with production scheduled to start next year.
