Delhi court acquits man in 2022 stabbing case
A man named Armaan was accused of trying to kill someone named Riyaz by stabbing him during a fight in Delhi in 2022.
The court decided to let Armaan go because there wasn't enough proof to show he did it.
The people who were supposed to be witnesses couldn't say for sure that Armaan was the one who attacked Riyaz.
The court said that just finding a knife isn't enough to prove someone is guilty if you can't prove it was theirs.
So, Armaan was found not guilty and was let free.
A Delhi court acquitted Armaan alias Tikka in a 2022 attempt to murder case due to lack of evidence.
Armaan was accused of stabbing Riyaz during a brawl at Hathi Park in New Jafrabad.
The prosecution failed to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt, and witnesses could not identify Armaan.
The court noted that the recovery of a knife alone is not sufficient to sustain conviction without establishing the assailant's identity.
Armaan was acquitted of all charges, and his bail bond and surety were discharged.
