Swami Gautamananda tells Malda students truth is foundation of success
A very important monk from India named Swami Gautamananda visited a school in a town called Malda.
He is the leader of a big group called the Ramakrishna Math and Mission.
He came to open a new building at the Vivekananda Vidyamandir school.
The new building is named after Swami Parashivananda, who started the school in 1944.
While he was there, he talked to the students.
He told them that being honest is very powerful and will help them succeed in life.
He also said they should love everyone, help poor people, and believe in themselves.
He said every task should be done as if it is service to God.
Many important people, including government officials and leaders from different political parties, came to listen to him.
The school had not seen the head of the Ramakrishna Mission in almost 48 years, so it was a very special day.
Swami Gautamananda, president of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, urged students to build their lives on truth, service, love and self-belief.
On the final day of his three-day visit to Malda, he inaugurated a new block at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Vidyamandir named after founder Swami Parashivananda.
It was the first visit to the school by a Ramakrishna Mission president in nearly 48 years, according to headmaster Swami Tapaharananda.
The monk advised students to care for the underprivileged, uphold truth under all circumstances, love everyone unconditionally and work as if doing God's work.
On Thursday, he inaugurated a new branch of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama at Mohanpara in Amriti in Malda.
