Teen Allegedly Gang-Raped on Sleeper Bus; Two Arrested
Police say a 16-year-old student was traveling from Uttar Pradesh to Noida to visit her cousin.
She got off near Pari Chowk during heavy rain and darkness, mistakenly believing she had reached her destination.
She was alone and asked an empty sleeper bus for help.
Police allege that the driver and conductor let her board after saying they were going toward Noida.
They allegedly attacked her inside the moving bus and threatened her when she resisted.
The men later left her near the Kashmere Gate bus terminal.
She contacted police, who arrested the two suspects and took the bus for testing.
Investigators are also examining route CCTV footage and other evidence.
Police allege that a 16-year-old Class 11 student was assaulted inside a moving sleeper bus on the night of August 4.
The student, from Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh, was traveling to Noida to visit her cousin after getting stranded in heavy rain.
Driver Kuldeep and conductor Sandeep allegedly offered her a ride after claiming the bus was headed to Noida Sector 63.
Police say the men threatened her and abandoned her on Ring Road near Delhi’s Kashmere Gate bus terminal.
Delhi Police arrested both suspects, seized the bus, and collected CCTV footage and forensic evidence, including strands of hair.
