Two Oscar-Nominated Songs to Perform Live
The Oscars are happening on March 15, and this year, only two of the five nominated songs will be performed live.
The songs chosen are 'Golden' from the movie 'KPop Demon Hunters' and 'I Lied to You' from 'Sinners'.
The other three songs won't be performed live because the show is already very long and adding all five performances would make it even longer.
The Academy said they will still honor all the nominated songs with special video segments.
The Oscars are hosted by Conan O'Brien, and starting in 2029, the show will be on YouTube, which might make it easier to fit in more performances.
Only two of the five best original song nominees will be performed live at the 98th Academy Awards due to time constraints.
The live performances will be 'Golden' from 'KPop Demon Hunters' and 'I Lied to You' from 'Sinners'.
The other nominees include 'Dear Me' from 'Diane Warren: Relentless', 'Train Dreams', and 'Sweet Dreams of Joy' from 'Viva Verdi!'.
All nominated songs will be introduced through custom-produced segments featuring footage from their respective films.
The Oscars are set to run three hours and 30 minutes, including 24 competitive categories, and will be hosted by Conan O'Brien.
