CSK Buys Prashant Veer, Kartik Sharma for Record Rs. 14.20 Crore
Two young cricket players, Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma, made history by being bought by the Chennai Super Kings team for a huge amount of money.
They were sold for Rs.
14.20 Crore, which is 4633% more than their starting price.
This makes them the first players from any country to earn over 10 crore marks without having played for their national team before.
Prashant is a left-arm spinner and batter, while Kartik is a wicketkeeper and explosive batter.
Both players have shown great skills in domestic cricket and are seen as future stars.
The previous record was held by Avesh Khan, who was sold for Rs.
10 Crore.
Another player, Auqib Nabi, was also sold for Rs.
8.4 Crore to Delhi Capitals, making him one of the highest earners in the auction.
Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma were sold to CSK for Rs. 14.20 Crore, 4633% of their base price of Rs. 30 Lakhs.
They are the first uncapped players in IPL history to earn over 10 crore marks.
Prashant Veer is a 20-year-old left-arm spinner and middle-order batter from Uttar Pradesh.
Kartik Sharma is a 19-year-old wicketkeeper and explosive batter from Rajasthan.
