Disney+ Cancels ‘Wonder Man’ After One Season
Disney+ had a new superhero show called ‘Wonder Man’ that started in January 2026.
It got good reviews and even earned an Emmy nomination for the lead actor.
But the show didn’t get a second season.
Disney said the writers’ room for season 2 never opened, so the writers were let go.
Even though the show was cancelled, the characters might still appear in other Marvel movies or shows.
Disney+ cancelled ‘Wonder Man’ after its first season despite a 91% Rotten‑Tomatoes score.
The series was renewed for a second season in March 2026, but a writers’ room was never set up.
All writers were released to pursue other projects, and the show’s creators had hoped to start production later that year.
The show earned 618 million minutes of viewing in its opening week and was eighth on Nielsen’s streaming list.
Marvel characters from the series may still appear in future MCU projects.
