Journalists to Push for Uniform Pension Scheme at National Conference
Imagine a big meeting for older journalists from all over India.
They're getting together to talk about making sure all journalists, no matter where they live, get a fair pension when they retire.
Right now, things are different in each state, which isn't fair.
They also want to talk about health insurance and other benefits for journalists.
The meeting will last three days, and lots of journalists are expected to attend.
At the end, they'll pick a team to help make their ideas happen.
A national conference for senior journalists will be held in Thiruvananthapuram in August 2025.
The conference will focus on establishing a uniform national pension scheme for journalists.
Around 250 delegates from 21 states are expected to attend the three-day event.
The conference will address welfare issues, including pension, health insurance, and concessions.
A national-level committee will be elected at the end of the conference.
