Pensioners Protest Against Validation Act
Some retired government workers are very upset about a new law called the Validation Act.
They say it's not fair because it might take away future benefits for people who retire after 2026.
The leaders of these retired workers had a big meeting and decided to protest all over India.
They want the government to take back this law.
They also plan to teach other people about why this law is bad.
Another leader said the government is being unfair by giving pensions to elected officials but not to long-serving workers.
Everyone at the meeting agreed to work together to protect the rights of retired workers.
The All India State Pensioners’ Federation (AISPF) demands the immediate withdrawal of the Validation Act, alleging it harms government pensioners.
The Act, passed on March 25, is said to deprive future retirees of benefits from future Pay Revision Commission recommendations.
AISPF plans a nationwide agitation and 'Jan Jagrana Andolan' to educate the public about the Act's adverse effects.
Critics argue the Act is regressive and opaque, potentially splitting pensioners to avoid implementing future Pay Commission recommendations.
A council meeting will be held in Jaipur to finalize protest programs, with full support from affiliated organizations.
