Bengaluru to Build Longest Double-Decker Flyover
Bengaluru is getting a major transportation upgrade!
The government approved a plan to build double-decker structures for the Namma Metro Phase 3 project.
This means the metro will run above flyovers on two key routes, with one flyover being the longest in the city.
The project will connect JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura and Kadabagere to Hosahalli.
The project has a large cost, with funding coming from the central and state government.
Construction is set to begin at the end of 2025 or early 2026, with completion by May 2031.
The Karnataka cabinet approved a Rs 9,700-crore double-decker viaduct project for Namma Metro Phase 3.
The project will construct elevated metro lines above flyovers.
The first route will connect JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura.
The second route will stretch from Kadabagere to Hosahalli.
The project is expected to be operational by May 2031.
