Punjab Police Say Harbhajan Singh's Viral Video From Rajasthan
A famous cricket player named Harbhajan Singh shared a video on the internet.
The video showed two men acting strangely.
He said the video was an example of a serious drug problem among young people in Punjab, a state in India.
He also blamed the government for the problem and asked people to help save Punjab.
Many people watched and shared the video.
But the police in Punjab looked into it carefully.
They found out that the video was actually recorded in a different place called Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan.
So the video was not really about Punjab at all.
The police told everyone to check the facts before sharing videos online.
They also said that just because people in a video speak Punjabi, it does not mean the video is from Punjab.
This story reminds us that videos on the internet can be misleading.
Harbhajan Singh, former India cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP, shared a viral video on X showing two men behaving erratically, which he linked to drug addiction among Punjab's youth.
He criticised successive governments for the deterioration of Punjab and its younger generation and appealed to people to 'save Punjab' from addiction.
Punjab Police clarified that the footage was actually recorded in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, and had no connection with Punjab or Punjab Police.
Police cautioned that 'a Punjabi audio track does not make an incident a Punjab incident' and urged users to verify facts and location before sharing.
The episode sparked a wider debate over the responsibility of public figures when sharing viral content online.
