ED Raids Harish Rawat Aide in UKSSSC Exam Scam

The Enforcement Directorate is investigating alleged cheating in a 2016 government recruitment exam in Uttarakhand.

The exam was run by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission.

Officials searched several homes and offices in Dehradun.

One searched home belonged to Chandan Singh Jeena, an aide to former Chief Minister Harish Singh Rawat.

Investigators said they found Rs 32 lakh in cash, gold items and 12 expensive watches there.

They also froze bank accounts belonging to Jeena and his family.

The agency alleges that some exam answer sheets were taken out of secure storage and changed.

It says the changes were made to help candidates in return for illegal payments.

Jeena’s phone was seized for forensic examination.
