RMC Issues Dues Notice to Housing Beneficiaries
The government in Ranchi is telling people who are buying new apartments to pay their bills.
About 308 people, who were supposed to pay for their flats through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, haven't paid yet.
They have been sent notices and told they must pay their dues by June 2nd, or they might lose their apartments.
These apartments are part of the Lighthouse Project and each flat costs around 13 lakh rupees.
The government is working with banks to help people get loans to pay for their apartments.
People who need a loan should contact the banks quickly.
Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) issued notices to 308 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana beneficiaries.
Beneficiaries, particularly from the Lighthouse Project (LHP), were asked to clear dues.
Dues were to be cleared by June 2, or flat allotments would be cancelled.
The LHP comprises 1,008 flats, each costing approximately Rs 13 lakh.
RMC is coordinating with Canara Bank and HDFC Bank to expedite housing loan approvals.
