India AI Mission Budget Expansion Proposed

India AI Mission Budget Expansion Proposed

Sunil Gupta, the founder of Yotta Data Services, thinks India needs to spend a lot more money on AI.

He says the current budget of ₹10,000 crore should be increased to ₹50,000 crore.

This is because the demand for GPUs, which are important for AI, has grown a lot.

His company, Yotta, is using many GPUs and plans to use even more.

He also talks about how data centers are using more power and how they are trying to use green energy.

He suggests that the government should make policies to help with this and make it easier to build data centers in different places.

Additionally, AM Green Group, owned by Greenko founders, plans to invest $25 billion to set up a 1 GW data center in Uttar Pradesh.

This data center will use carbon-free energy and is expected to be completed by 2030.
