Pune Station Blocked 9 Hours, Seven Trains Cancelled
Central Railway will shut down part of Pune Railway Station for nine hours on August 2 to fix and upgrade the tracks and signals.
Because of this, seven trains, including local and express services, will not run that day.
Some long‑distance trains will stop at nearby stations instead of Pune, and some trains that normally leave Pune will start from other stations.
The work will replace old track points and improve the signalling and power systems.
Passengers should check the new train times on the NTES app or the railway website before traveling.
Central Railway will block Pune Railway Station for nine hours (8 am–5 pm) on Aug 2 for upgrades.
Seven trains, including local and express services, will be cancelled during the block.
Long‑distance trains will terminate at Khadki or Hadapsar, and outbound services will start from alternate stations.
The upgrade involves replacing DDS points and works on engineering, signalling, telecom, and overhead equipment.
Passengers are advised to check revised schedules via the NTES app or official enquiry portal.
