RML Recalls Drug Batches After Quality Checks Flag Defects

RML checked some medicines for quality.

Three tablet batches did not pass the tests.

They were sodium valproate, spironolactone and imipramine tablets.

Five injectable medicines also failed their tests.

These included adenosine, methyl ergometrine and multivitamin injection.

They also included pheniramine maleate and ascorbic acid.

The medicines were labelled “Not of Standard Quality” or recalled.

The headline says 10 batches, but the details list eight batches in total.
