John Woo and Nicolas Cage Reunite for New York Crime Biopic 'Gambino'
Imagine two famous movie friends, John Woo and Nicolas Cage, who made a super exciting action movie called 'Face/Off' a long, long time ago.
Now, they are getting back together to make a new movie about a real-life New York gangster named Carlo Gambino.
Nicolas Cage will play Carlo Gambino, who was a very powerful and quiet crime boss.
The movie will also feature a journalist trying to figure out who Gambino really was, looking into his life through the eyes of people who knew him.
It's a story about how someone from humble beginnings became a big boss and what loyalty and power mean.
This new movie is called 'Gambino,' and its sales are starting at a big movie market.
Director John Woo and actor Nicolas Cage are reuniting for the first time in nearly 30 years since 'Face/Off'.
They are collaborating on a new crime biopic titled 'Gambino', focusing on the life of New York crime boss Carlo Gambino.
Nicolas Cage will portray Carlo Gambino, a Sicilian immigrant who rose to lead New York's underworld with quiet authority.
The film will explore Gambino's ruthlessness and rise to power through the eyes of journalist Jimmy Breslin.
WME Independent is handling sales for the project at the American Film Market, with NextG Films providing financing.
