NIA Court Takes Cognisance in Jiribam Meitei Family Killing Case
A long time ago, six people from a family in Manipur were taken away and killed.
The police found their bodies in a river.
After a lot of investigation, the court has now officially started the trial against three people who are accused of doing this bad thing.
The family was from the Meitei community, and the people who did this are said to be from a different group called the Kuki militants.
The court has asked for more documents to be given to the accused so they can prepare for their defense.
This is a very serious case and has made many people very sad and angry.
The NIA Court took cognisance of the chargesheet in the Jiribam Meitei family killing case on January 30, 2026.
Three accused were charged under the BNS, Arms Act, and UA(P) Act.
The victims were abducted on November 11, 2024, and their bodies were found in the Barak River.
