Bombay High Court Allows MIAL to Replace Celebi for Ground Services
The Bombay High Court has allowed the Mumbai airport to find a new company to handle ground services.
This is because the original company, Celebi, had its security clearance taken away due to national security concerns.
The court said it couldn't stop the airport from finding a replacement anymore, as a similar case in Delhi was already dismissed.
Celebi is also no longer able to access the airport for services, and another company has taken over.
Celebi's appeal of their security clearance cancellation is still ongoing.
Bombay High Court set aside its order restraining MIAL from finalizing tenders for ground services.
Court cited Delhi HC's dismissal of Celebi's similar petition as reason for vacating the order.
Celebi's security clearance was revoked by BCAS due to national security concerns.
Indo Thai Airport Services Ltd. now handles services, with Celebi losing physical airport access.
Celebi's petition against the security clearance revocation is still pending before Bombay HC.
