Government Tackles Digital Arrest Scams
The Indian government has created a special team to stop digital arrest scams.
These scams trick people by pretending to be police officers and asking for money.
The team includes important government departments and big tech companies like Google and WhatsApp.
They have had a few meetings to talk about how to stop these scams.
The scams often come from countries like Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
The government wants to take action because a lot of money has been stolen through these scams.
The team will keep meeting to find the best ways to stop these crimes.
Recently, the CBI also started investigating a case where an elderly woman from Delhi lost her life savings to cyber criminals.
