Jadavpur University inaugurates eastern India’s first ayurvedic medicine testing facility
Jadavpur University in Kolkata has opened a new center called TradMed-CoE.
This is the first place in eastern India where scientists can test herbal medicines to make sure they are safe and of good quality.
The center was made possible by a grant from the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) under the Ministry of AYUSH.
The center will use modern science to study traditional medicines.
This will help make sure that Ayurvedic medicines meet international standards.
The center is led by Pulok Kumar Mukherjee and will work with scientists from both the university and CCRAS.
The goal is to make sure that Ayurvedic medicines are safe and effective for people to use.
