Very heavy rain has caused enormous floods in a state in India called Assam.

The water has covered villages, fields, and roads, and many people have had to leave their homes.

Sadly, 95 people have lost their lives because of the floods.

A place called Sivasagar was hurt the worst, and another place called Charaideo has also suffered greatly.

More than 160,000 people are still surrounded by floodwater and need help.

The government has set up more than 100 relief camps where people can stay safely.

A minister named JP Nadda came to visit the flooded areas to see how people are doing.

He promised that the central government will give all the help and money needed.

The chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, also promised to pay families for their damaged homes, cattle, and lost ways of earning money.
