Stalin Calls Two-Language Policy Dravidian Movement’s Foundational Achievement

M.K. Stalin spoke at a self-respect wedding in Chennai.

He said using two languages is an important achievement of the Dravidian movement.

The two languages are Tamil and English.

He said this approach does not accept forcing a three-language formula.

Stalin credited C.N. Annadurai with introducing the policy after becoming chief minister in 1967.

He also said Annadurai helped rename the state Tamil Nadu.

Annadurai also helped make self-respect marriages legally valid.

Stalin encouraged the newly married couple to give their children beautiful Tamil names and help their country.
