Andhra Power Plan for Godavari Pushkaralu 2027
The Energy Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, met with officials from the state power company, APEPDCL, to make sure the electricity supply stays steady during the big Godavari Pushkaralu festival in 2027.
He asked the company to finish all power‑related work by March 2027 and to add more solar panels for people, especially for scheduled castes and tribes.
The minister also said the company should give quick updates to customers when power goes out.
APEPDCL has already started building new substations and is spending Rs.830 crore to strengthen the network.
The goal is to keep the lights on for everyone during the festival and to help the state become a clean‑energy leader.
Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar directed APEPDCL to create a special action plan for uninterrupted power during Godavari Pushkaralu 2027.
The plan prioritizes renewable energy, urging acceleration of the PM Surya Ghar programme and rooftop solar for SC/ST beneficiaries.
APEPDCL has sanctioned 12,000 agricultural connections and is expediting pending ones for farmers.
The company is building 30 new substations this year, targeting 50, and has 19 new 33/11 kV substations ready for the festival.
An investment of Rs.830 crore is underway to strengthen the distribution network and improve outage communication.
