Kolkata Police Issue Notice to Puja Organizers Over Safety

The police in Kolkata have told the organizers of the Santosh Mitra Square Durga Puja to make some changes.

They're worried because a lot of people showed up last year, which was dangerous.

The police want the organizers to improve crowd control by adding cameras, signs, and volunteers.

They also can't have light shows, Ferris wheels, or vendors near the exits.

A local politician says this is unfair and suspects the police are targeting the puja because of its theme: "Operation Sindoor."

Another politician supports the police, saying they're just trying to keep everyone safe.
