Bombay High Court 'pained' by Maharashtra doctors' strike, issues notices

Some doctors in Maharashtra, a state in India, decided to stop working to protest a new rule about homeopathy registration.

Homeopathy is a different kind of medicine, and the doctors do not agree with how it is being registered.

When doctors stop working, it is called a strike.

The judges at the Bombay High Court saw news reports about this strike and became very worried.

Patients might not get the help they need if doctors are not working.

One judge asked, 'Can they bring back dead patients to life?'

This means if someone dies because no doctor was there to help, nobody can fix that.

The judges said they were 'pained' by the protest.

They also worried the doctors might stop helping in emergencies.

So the court sent official notices to the doctors' groups and the government's medical education department to get answers.
