Maharashtra Resolves NP Permit System Issues
There was a problem with a system that gives special permits to big trucks in Maharashtra, India.
This problem made many trucks stop working, which caused money problems for the truck owners and made it hard to move goods around the state.
The government official in charge of transport, Mr. Vivek Bhimanwar, helped fix the problem.
He decided that old trucks (registered before 2019) don't have to follow a new rule about tracking devices.
Newer trucks will get some help to follow the rule without causing too many problems.
Now, the system is working smoothly again, and the trucks can move goods around Maharashtra without any issues.
The truck owners are happy and thankful to Mr. Bhimanwar for fixing the problem quickly.
The Maharashtra State Transport Department resolved a long-pending system issue affecting NP authorisations and permit renewals for transport vehicles.
Vehicles registered prior to 2019 are exempt from VLTD compliance for NP authorisation and permit renewals.
Vehicles registered after 2019 will receive necessary relaxation to avoid operational disruptions.
The resolution has restored normalcy in transport operations and the supply chain across Maharashtra.
The transport fraternity expressed gratitude to Transport Commissioner Vivek Bhimanwar for his prompt intervention and effective resolution.
