Monsoon Withdraws From Maharashtra as Pune Faces Warmer October

The rainy season has now ended across Maharashtra.

The weather department announced this on October 8.

Pune and nearby places are expected to stay mostly dry over the next week.

Temperatures may slowly get hotter.

The rains left Pune and Mumbai on October 3, earlier than usual.

The report says this was the earliest retreat there in more than 20 years.

Pune’s Shivajinagar station measured 35.7°C on October 6.

That was its highest October temperature since 2002.

On October 8, the station recorded 35.2°C.
