MP Congress Alleges BJP Vote Theft in 2023 Assembly Polls
The Congress party is accusing the BJP of cheating in the recent Madhya Pradesh election.
They claim that about 16 lakh new voters were added right before the election, especially in areas where Congress lost by a small margin.
The Congress leader, Umang Singhar, says this helped the BJP win by stealing votes.
They pointed out that in 2018 the difference in votes between BJP and Congress was only 1%, but in 2023 it increased to 9%.
The Congress believes the BJP unfairly benefited from this and manipulated the vote.
Umang Singhar alleged 16 lakh voters were fraudulently added before the 2023 assembly polls.
Singhar claimed this resulted in Congress candidates losing by small margins in 27 seats.
He stated the BJP formed the government by 'stealing' votes with EC's help.
Singhar highlighted increased voter counts in several constituencies before the election.
The BJP won 163 seats, Congress won 66 in the 2023 Assembly elections.
