Calls to revive Bajali College grow in Pathsala
A long time ago, people in the Bajali region of Assam worked hard to build a college called Bajali College.
It was a very important place for learning.
Later, it was turned into a university called Bhattadev University, and a new campus was built in a different place.
Now, the old campus is not being used much, and people are sad because their town doesn't have a full college anymore.
They want the old Bajali College to come back so that students can study there again.
Some important people met with the education minister to ask for this, and the minister said he would look into it.
The university's head said the old campus might be used for arts studies in the future.
Bajali College, established in 1955, was a significant educational institution in Assam.
It was upgraded to Bhattadev University in 2017, with a new campus built in Medhikuchi.
The original campus in Pathsala is now underutilized, leaving the region without a full-fledged degree college.
Residents and organizations are demanding the revival of Bajali College at its original site.
