Anna Hazare's Papers to Join PMML Archives
Anna Hazare, a famous activist, is known for his work in fighting corruption and improving villages.
The Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library (PMML) in New Delhi wants to keep his important papers and letters.
These include documents from his big protest in 2011 for a strong anti-corruption law called Lokpal, his work on village development, and efforts to save water.
A team from PMML visited Hazare’s village in Maharashtra to start collecting these papers.
The PMML already has papers from other important leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
They are also working to make all these old documents available online for students and researchers.
Anna Hazare's papers, including documents from the 2011 Lokpal movement and rural development initiatives, will be preserved at the PMML archives.
A PMML team visited Hazare's native village, Ralegan Siddhi, to initiate the archiving process.
Hazare, an 80-year-old activist and Padma Bhushan recipient, has led numerous movements for rural development and anti-corruption.
The PMML archives house collections from prominent historical figures and organizations, and are undergoing a digitization project.
The preserved documents will be available for historical and academic research, including original correspondence, diaries, and speeches.
