UGC Invites Nominations for DRDO National Awards 2024–25
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked colleges and universities to suggest people for special awards given by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
These awards are for people who have done great work in defence science and technology.
Each winner gets a special prize and a lot of money.
Anyone working for the government, in a big company, or in a private organization can be nominated.
Nominations must be sent by December 1, 2025.
UGC directs HEIs to send nominations for DRDO's national-level awards
Awards include Dr. Kothari Defence Science Award and Dr. Kalam Defence Technology Award
Each award has a citation and a cash reward of Rs. 10 lacs
Nominations open to individuals serving in government, public, or private organisations
