Karnataka Lokayukta Files Final Report on MUDA Land Allotments Case

The Karnataka Lokayukta police have filed their final report on a case involving alleged corruption in land allotments by the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

The case involves Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's family, who were accused of receiving 14 housing sites in exchange for a 3.16-acre property.

The Lokayukta police initially filed a closure report in February 2025, citing a lack of evidence, but the court directed them to continue investigations.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also been investigating the case and has attached properties worth Rs 300 crore.

A judicial commission found large-scale irregularities in MUDA's functioning but did not find wrongdoing in the CM's wife receiving the sites.

The CM's wife has since returned the 14 housing sites to MUDA.

The case involves multiple investigations and legal proceedings, with the next hearing scheduled for January 22.
